DAV Public School Noamundi is a Co-educational English-medium school located in West Singhbhum and was established in the year 1988 inside the campus of TATA STEEL, Mines Division, Noamundi, with the financial help of The TATA IRON & STEEL COMPANY, a gift of Arya Samaj. Initially it was started in a huge building when it started functioning in 1988 with 88 students & only 9 faculties having classes running from STD. VI to VIII. At present, the number of students is 900 and the number of teaching and non-teaching staff is 36. It has a huge building furnished with modern amenities, laboratories equipped with latest apparatus, computers, playgrounds and play-stations. It is located at 65 K.M. south east of Chaibasa, 135KM from Tatanagar and attached to the Orissa border. Noamundi is connected by both road and railways.
