Details of Infrastructure :  The school has a huge building with spacious 39 rooms in total. The various facilities in these rooms are -

Laboratory

We have well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, S.St. and Mathematics. An English language Lab is  also to be introduced for the improvement of spoken English.

SCIENCE LAB (PHY, CHEM, BIO): 
The adequately equipped science laboratory inculcates the spirit of experimentation, innovation research and discovery in the minds of the students. It is equipped with museum specimens, charts, slides, microscopes, human skeleton and other facilities for proper experimentation. The practical sessions conducted in the labs, apart from making learning fun enhance the level of understanding of the various scientific theoretical concepts. It serves as a platform for the future scientists.

                                      

MATHS LAB: 
The school believers that activity based curriculum alone making learning interesting. To reinforce the concept of learning-by-doing and offering conceptual clarity, the school stimulates the learning of mathematics through its Math’s lab. It lends clearly of thought and provides practical knowledge.

 

SOCIAL SCIENCE LAB: 
The social science lab, with its maps, charts, models, modules and the modules on the computer take the students beyond their classroom and Native land. The students get an opportunity to learn about glorious past and present. It improves their knowledge of history of various ages, different locations around the globe and the rich resources that we have.

 

Library

LIBRARY: 
Creating reading habits since early childhood is very important as it turns to inculcate love for books in future. There is no teacher like a book as the books broaden the horizons of the child. We at City Pride will give utmost importance to enhance the reading habits of our students since standard 1st. The students will be the members of our well-stocked library having books on various subjects for required age groups.

Background:
The aim of school library is to serve the needs of our faculty, staff, students and member of the library. It is heart of the school and act as a center for the collection literature predominantly related to science, mathematics, English, Hindi, economics, social science, commerce, computer science, general knowledge, etc. all the subjects and develops a approach to with library science. To cope with their development the library has stepped into new technology of library development.

Newspaper: The library services 02 Eng newspapers and 03 Hindi daily and magazines. These are displayed at the entrance of the Study Corner. The current months papers are readily available in the section for immediate reference.

 

 

Computer Lab.

Computer Education: To keep pace with the advance technology a separate room for computer is provided. Multimedia based computer training appropriate the age of the student will be imparted in order to develop his/her interest in this fabulous technology. The school insists on making use of computers as application tool. Children are learning to make use of computers to do their artwork, homework, presentation, projects, assignments, making cartoon, film, banners etc..

Computer Lab: Computer department consists of one well-maintained laboratory, senior secondary, secondary and primary consisting computers with colored monitors, scanner, projector and color printers of latest make and language as per CBSE syllabus.
The school has fully equipped computer laboratory set up.. All students from class III to XII are trained hands on computer. 24 x 7 hour Broadband Internet facility is available. It has also been provided in the computer lab. Students take full advantage of computer labs in enhancing their knowledge and preparing various projects in academics and general education.

 

SPORTS : The school is having a well developed football ground, basketball court, and a badminton court for outdoor games. A playstation is also made for the junior students. For indoor games table tennis, chess, carom facilities are also available. The students are also allowed to utilize the facilities of the Sports Complex of Tata Steel, Mines Division Noamundi. 

Re-Orientation Programmes:

DAV CMC is having a separate wing under the name of DAVIIER (DAV Institute of In-service Education and Research) headed by Assistant Director Mrs. Rashmi S. Chari.  DAVIIER is organizing videoconferencing, teleconferencing through GYANDARSHAN - II Channel of IGNOU to update its in-service teachers related with curriculum, question pattern, marking schemes etc. implemented by CBSE time to time.

The school is also sending its representative to attend the workshops, seminars etc. organized by CBSE.  The Trainers of our school are also organizing workshops to train the teachers as well as to the students and parents through PowerPoint presentation in a community hall provided by TATA STEEL.

 

 

Other Activities

Morning Assembly and Moral Instructions

To improve moral values in the students each working day in the school starts with morning assembly, with the recitation of Vedic mantras, devotional and patriotic songs and quotations. Stress is laid on the universal aspects and eternal values of Indian culture. Students get introduced to the rich spiritual heritage of Indian philosophy, which transcends the narrow limits of caste, color, language and creed, let noble thoughts come to us from every side. The academic and co-curricular activities go a long way in building up an atmosphere in which infant's minds get unconsciously exposed to the time honored and universal values of life.

Short talks are given by students and by the invited guests on a variety of subjects - good manners, hygienic, habits and important events of day-to-day life, besides references from lives of great men. Every morning assembly disperses with the singing of national anthem.

Devotional, patriotic songs and thoughts are included in the morning assemblies to inculcate moral values and sprit of patriotism among students. 'Hawan' is performed twice a week, Besides, Positive ideas are also taught to students with regards to personal hygiene, neatness of uniform cleanliness of surrounding and graceful manner and discipline.

 

Medical Facilities (First Aid)

There are very good & hygiene facilities of first aid in our school. There is well maintained & well-equipped sick room in our school; there is the facility of checking blood pressure, measurement of Height & weight as per the age group chart. In sick room there are the facilities to detain the ward if they are suffering from fever, cold or any diseases for temporary relief. There are the facilities of dressing of injury part injured or wound. Student may also get the first aid treatment of headache; stomachache etc.. Emergency cases are immediately transferred to nearby well equipped TATA STEEL HOSPITAL. Ambulance facility is also available to the school from the company hospital as and when required.
